At Home

Michael and I are so fortunate to own such a peaceful and beautiful home. The property that surrounds our house is shaded by beautiful old trees, and a creek runs down one side. Although we are located within the city's limnits, our one-acre of land is tranquil and abundant with simple beauty.

Today, we've been able to spend some time enjoying that beauty. Our animals make our home even more special and add so much pleasure to our lives. We love the days we get to spend at home enjoying our little place in the world. Thought we'd share some of the images that help to make our lives so special...

Great, great pictures! The cat in the car mirror is contest worthy (and is a beautiful cat by the way). I love the pumpkin statue. Thanks for sharing!

Our guests get such a laugh at how our two cats greet them when they arrive at the B&B. As soon as a car pulls up in the driveway, the cats go running...jump out of trees, crawl out from under the shed, run from the back porch...wherever they're at, they leave what they're doing to greet our guests. If someone stays in the car too long, the cats will crawl up on the car and peer in the windows as if to say, "What's taking you so long? Whatcha doing in there?!?!" The day I shot the photograph of Isabella in the rear view window, I had taken too long (in her opinion) to gather my belongings. She wanted to know what was taking me so long to jump out of the car and give her the attention she feels she deserves!! Gotta love her!!
