My husband and I reached a sad decision. We will sell our beautiful, antique Weber & Co. square grand piano. It has occupied our home for many years, and it is lovely...but it needs a space that can do it justice, and we simply need the extra space. We're also getting ready to refinish hardwood floors in this room, strip wallpaper, add crown moulding and paint, and we would really like the piano to find a new home before we begin. We are so sad to let it go, but neither of us play, and this grand old piano deserves to be played!
Does anyone know the best place to sell an antique piano? Craig's List? Ebay? Any recommendations would be so appreciated! And if YOU happen to be in the market for a lovely, old piano, feel free to contact me!
Meanwhile, have a look at this darling of a piano. Isn't it lovely?!?! *sigh*
Yay! It Fits!

Oh my gosh!!!!!!! I am so in love with that piano! (My grandmother was a famous pianist many years ago in my part of New England, and I always wanted a grand piano like she had -- but we have no space!)
Oh - yes, the bookstore is Parnassus! There are two other antiquarian book shops on the Cape you may have gone to... Titcomb's and Isaiah Thomas Books (i gorgeous pink Victorian house)!
Paula,
What a BEAUTIFUL piano!! I play piano and always have been intrigued with antique pianos..... there is indeed something so special about playing upon a piano which keys are from a hundred of years ago. I so hope this LOVELY instrument finds a wonderful home where it is cherished and loved dearly!!!! ;) Thanks for sharing with us some pictures of it before you say your last goodbyes. Hope you had a pleasant day, dear friend!!!
Love & Blessings,
Miss Jen
Your piano! Oh what a marvel! Someone will surely give it all the care it needs! It's hard to say good-bye but sometimes one just needs to move on. I was very fortunate to be able to give my baby grand to my daughter a few years ago. We'd moved from a much larger Victorian to a smaller bungalow and the piano looked wonderful but cramped my creative spirit by taking up too much space. My daughter teaches private lessons in musical theater so it's a perfect fit for us both!
