I am fortunate to live in a piece of history: a circa 1869 house that my husband and I ran as a bed and breakfast for several years until the birth of our son in 2010. While we miss sharing our house with the many guests who frequented our B&B, we are thankful to have the extra space for our family. We continue to restore the house in between our family time and our full time jobs (me in higher education and he in aerial mapping). We share the house with our sweet critters: dogs and cats and the occasional fish or frog, who seem to enjoy it as much as we do. This blog chronicles our lives, our love, our laughter, and the ongoing attempt at restoring a home in the course of living our busy lives.
